Heritage University CBC Cohort 2011-2013 Class Wiki
This wiki was the idea of Mrs. Brenda Zehnder. It was created as a place to share lesson plans, videos, blogs, glogs, links or anything education related with the rest of the cohort. No one is going to monitor who uploads and who downloads lesson plans, links, etc. We are all fellow students and friends so please do not download someone else's lesson plan to use for a class assignment. The lesson plans are here for you to look at, get ideas from and for you to save them and use them in your classroom after we have graduated from the program.
Uploading Lesson Plans
UPDATE!!!
Getting the file name right is not terribly important. Once the file is uploaded just put the proper tags into the file. We can then filter by tags.
Once the file is uploaded if it does not show up on the page please refresh the page.
If you would like to upload your lesson plans please use the following naming convention:
Gradelevel LessonName/LessonTopic Lastname.
Example: Kindergarten PhonemicAwareness Allison
Example: Second PhysicalEducation Allison
If a lesson has a worksheet or handout that goes along with it, and is in a separate file, simply tell us what it is after the lesson name.
Example: Kindergarten PhonemicAwarenessHandout Allison
Lessons need to be named properly before they are uploaded. Once they are on the site the name cannot be changed. If we all follow this format then we can easily find the lessons for a specific grade level as the file manager can sort them into alphabetical order.
If the file is not named properly it is not the end of the world, simply edit the tags. Getting the proper tags onto the file is more important that naming the file right. For each file that is uploaded edit the tags so they match the lesson. Please type one word and press enter in the tag editing field, this is done so each word is an individual tag. If we add the tags correctly it is very simple to filter by tags.
